Whether you stay just one day or several weeks, stress will melt away while relaxing in one of our waterfront cabins.  Spend quality time with the family at our beach, swim off the dock or roast marshmallows on your camp fire.

water sports

Enjoy many watersports such as waterskiing, wake-boarding, tubing & jet-skiing.  When you want to slow down, take a relaxing swim in the pristine water of Black Sturgeon Lake.

If its big game you’re after there are black bear, deer, and moose to challenge your skills. The area also offers great waterfowl hunting opportunities. Many varieties of ducks and Geese migrate through the area.

local activities

Head to Kenora for the local markets, tourist shopping, dining and much more.  If you are a golfer, the 18 hole Beauty Bay Golf Course is just minutes away, plus there are several other courses in the area.

Black Sturgeon is famous for amazing Bass fishing.  In addition, enjoy catching the local favorite Walleye “Pickerel” or maybe you want to go after a big Northern Pike!  We’ve got them all and more.

Welcome to Hidden Trail Resort located on Black Sturgeon Lake, just north of Kenora Ontario.

The camp was established over 45 years ago by a family from Manitoba and consisted of just a few lakefront cabins.  Art & Barb Peters have owned Hidden Trail for the last 35 years, expanding the camp to include five lakefront cabins for rent, several seasonal trailer sites, boat rentals, gas sales and much more.  Art and Barb have now retired but continue to reside at Hidden Trail.  They plan to make the most of their retirement with family and all the great friends they have made over the years at the camp.

Your new camp owners and hosts starting in 2016 are Rob & Karen Malak.

Rob & Karen are originally from Manitoba but have been patrons of Hidden Trail Resort since 2001.  Over the years they worked together with Art & Barb making improvements to the cabins and camp whenever possible.

About Hidden Trail Resort

“We have raised our boys here every summer, loved the area and the resort so much that we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to purchase the resort.  Our goal is to continue the "Hidden Trail feeling" while adding a few new elements of our own.  We are looking forward to seeing all of the resort regulars and welcoming new guests for years to come.”
